Miss Joy grew up in Edmonton, Alberta, and discovered her love for dance at a young age.

She trained in all styles, competed, and performed regularly—but it was the teaching side of dance that truly lit her up. That passion for sharing the joy of movement is what sparked the dream of opening Joy’s Dance Factory.

Now, 46 years later, that dream has blossomed into a thriving, supportive community. What makes it even more special is that Miss Joy’s daughter, Miss Auri, grew up in the studio—it’s always been her second home.

Today, as the second generation, Miss Auri proudly follows in her mother’s footsteps, carrying forward the same love, dedication, and joy that started it all.

With three large, spacious studios, Joy’s Dance Factory offers one of the best dance facilities in Lethbridge!

All of our studios feature professional-grade sprung Marley floors, designed to reduce impact and protect dancers’ bodies—just like those used in top dance schools around the world. Our space also includes a large reception area, three washrooms, and a generous change room for our students’ comfort. The upstairs studios can transform into a black box theatre, perfect for hosting intimate performances and in-house showcases.

For our Acro dancers, we’re fully equipped with floor mats and stackable mats to support safe and skillful training.
